Bruce Springsteen // 03.04.1993 // Dortmund // Westfalenhalle

Nach dem 1988er „Tunnel of Love“ Konzert in München, mein 2. Bruce Springsteen Konzert. 1992 verpasste ich urlaubsbedingt die Konzerte in Frankfurt. Also auf nach Dortmund.

1988 in München stand ich noch etwas weiter hinten im Publikum. In Dortmund musste sich das ändern. Wir standen bzw. saßen stundenlang vor der Halle, und schafften es dann auch in die 1. Reihe.

Bruce Springsteen ohne E-Street Band. Bruce formierte in den Jahren 1992/1993 eine neue Band um sich. Diese bestand aus:

Viele fragten sich, kann das überhaupt funktionieren. Der Spiegel schrieb damals über Bruce folgendes:

Die erster 3 Songs waren Akkustic-Versionen. Bruce alleine mit Gitarre auf der Bühne.  Ab „Better Days“ dann mit Full Band. Da es damals ja erst mein 2. Springsteen Konzert war, konnte ich den Vergleich zwischen „mit E-Street Band“ und ohne noch nicht so ziehen. Jahre später muss ich aber sagen: Die E-Streeter machen es schon besser.

Weiter Show-Highlights:
Bei „Glory Days“ kamen Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora auf die Bühne.  Die ganze Band incl. Jon und Richie drehtem im Gänsemarsch ihre Runden auf der Bühne. Die hatten einen Spass. So wie wir.

Nach dem Konzert gingen wir dann in Richtung Hotel. Tranken noch ein Bier. Dann hieß es ab ins Bett. Weil am nächsten Tag ging es ja schon weiter.
